A filmed version of the popular stage musical, in which a feisty drag queen attempts to rescue a shoe factory by designing fabulous and fetishistic footwear. Kinky Boots is a piece of musical theatre which really surprised me. As the musical progressed I found those to be on my low end of songs.

Kinky Boots is about shoe-lovers uniting, and a reverence for footwear of all types. The film could have been a depressing forced march through screeds on bigotry and global trade. "Kinky Boots" has few surprises, unless you seriously expect the factory to go bankrupt. The climax comes at the annual shoe show in Milan, where last-minute developments unfold right on schedule; having provided us with Lola, the movie is conventional in all other departments.

One, I'm not much for musicals since there is To the point where if they ever adapt the music into a movie, I'm pretty sure with his participation it'll. The musical makes Charlie seem less of a drip than he was in the movie. This is partly because Cyndi Lauper's score and Fierstein's book heighten the parallels between Charlie and Lola, both the victim of paternal expectations who here get.
