I had rather low expectations before seeing Hulk, since the early criticism was pretty harsh and basically the whole mojo around this movie didn't sound very good. Trailer Hulk
It isn't a terrible watch, it's just nothing that's as fun or as entertaining as you'd suspect it to be with the Hulk in the lead character. I went to a screening of the Planet Hulk movie that's coming out on DVD next month. It was directed by Ang Lee and written by James Schamus, Michael France, and John Turman, from a story by Schamus.
The movie focuses more on Bruce's repressed memories than the title character. If it wasn't for the Hulk this movie would belong more on Lifetime than being a Superhero movie. Rebooting a blockbuster franchise that never got off the ground in the first place may not seem like. It follows the Bruce Banner fighting his inner demons after an accident with gamma radiation, thus causing him to become the Hulk.
