After the relentless, jugular-targeting confrontations of its first hour, the film's invention and force can be felt bleeding out over the protracted second. Yet, this director is still capable of reaching deep into his tombola of tropes and pulling out a funny, bleak, original image. A program to create super-soldiers goes amiss and a viral outbreak in the South-East of England turns infectees into demented zombies.
Furthermore, the flick is simply too long with its almost two hours running time. The best thing about this movie is. The film received mixed reviews, though has found a cult base of horror fans that united behind its UK release.
