It's a nerd's playground, an inquirer's paradise. Tyler Durden may have scoffed at the utility of safety demonstrations in airplanes, but Sully hadn't been. The opening moments of Sully, a stirring paean to a great day of ultra-coordinated NYC heroism, are so frightening, it's amazing that the scene is about to play. Sully's minimalism is particularly striking because Eastwood so closely follows the familiar structure But all the subtlety and depth in the script can't hide the fact that this is still a movie about six minutes.
