"The Conjuring" is one of the most thrilling horror film to have come out in recent times. It is up there with "Sinister" as one of the scariest films I have watched. Since it's based off of "true events", it makes it even more interesting.

Vera Farmiga gives a smashing performance as Lorraine Warren, making her a three-dimensional soul who's both brave and tortured. The movie is also kind of dark lighting wise. I watched this film in a relatively dark room and some of the scenes were just too dark to see anything.
