Evan Almighty generated a lot of hype before its release. A lot of people loved Bruce Almighty, and were expecting something just a zany and hilarious in Evan Almighty. Most of them were disappointed: this movie was received negatively by most critics and audiences alike. EVAN ALMIGHTY is a cute, entertaining family movie for the seven and up crowd. The best thing about the movie is that it takes God and the Bible seriously, though it doesn't delve too deeply into these subjects.
