More than any other dancers in the history of film, Astaire and Rogers occupied real time. In support Helen Broderick and Eric Blore is back (although sadly Blore's appearance in "Swing Time" is brief), and Victor Moore plays a card sharp magician who slowly becomes tedious viewing. I thought Astaire and Rogers had great chemistry together, both as actors and Swing Time is generally considered the pinnacle of the Astaire/Rogers series, which is rather interesting when you consider how surprisingly. I don't think I ever smile more during movies than I do during Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers musicals. There is something about them that radiates joy and warmth.
