There is stupid, and then there is Crank stupid. An insane, bloody, gratuitous, funny rollercoaster of a movie that doesn't pretend to be anything beyond that. Chelios has been injected with a slow-acting poison … The movie cheerfully rehashes the premise of Speed, and also, unless I'm very much mistaken, pastiches the elevator-mental-breakdown scene in Guy Ritchie's excruciating Revolver.
